Baseball Recap: Shiloh Takes a Loss

Shiloh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-3 to the Lakeside Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-2 loss on Wednesday.

Nicholas Johnson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Shiloh's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Lakeside, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Shiloh and Lakeside could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Shiloh (ranked 339th) will meet Woodward Academy (ranked 36th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shiloh has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Meanwhile, Lakeside will challenge Dunwoody at 5:00 p.m. on Monday down 114 places (151 vs. 37).
