Ola had won seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 7-2 to make it eight. They came out on top against the Hampton Hornets by a score of 24-13. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ola's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cayden Hutson led the charge by rushing for 80 yards and one score on only ten carries. That's the most rushing yards Hutson has posted since back in November of 2024. Another signal caller making a difference was Caden Worley, who threw for 152 yards and one TD while completing 83.3% of his passes.

As for Hampton, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

When it comes to explaining why Hampton lost, don't look at Tristan Parks. Despite the final result, he threw for 240 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
