Basketball Game Preview: Kenesaw Blue Devils vs. Deshler Dragons

The Kenesaw Blue Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Deshler Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Saturday, Kenesaw came up short against Pleasanton and fell 65-54.

Despite their loss, Kenesaw saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sophia Schukei, who shot 43% from the field en route to 17 points and eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Uden, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 13 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Deshler hadn't done well against Superior recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Dragons enjoyed a cozy 45-30 victory over the Wildcats.

Kenesaw's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Deshler, their record now sits at 6-9.

Kenesaw couldn't quite get it done against Deshler when the teams last played back in February of 2025 as they fell 47-37. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
