Softball Recap: ThunderRidge Find Success

ThunderRidge hadn't done well against Grandview recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Grizzlies came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 9-4. This was payback for the Grizzlies, who suffered a 12-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

Haley Ortega spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Samantha Oliver was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in October of 2024. Aubrey Conant was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

The win got ThunderRidge back to even at 1-1. As for Grandview, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. ThunderRidge will welcome Arapahoe at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Grizzlies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Grandview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Regis Jesuit at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
