Soccer Game Preview: University Prep vs. West Valley

University Prep has won five straight games at home, while West Valley has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The University Prep Panthers will host the West Valley Eagles at 5:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

University Prep's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over Central Valley. Give the Panthers' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

They hit Central Valley with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Shay Russell (2), Kolae Carlson Spear, Lyndsey Schuster, and Mikayla Clarkson.

Meanwhile, everything went West Valley's way against Anderson on Thursday as West Valley made off with a 4-0 victory. The Eagles' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

University Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those ten matches. As for West Valley, their win bumped their record up to 8-6-1.
