Whitney and La Serna are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Whitney Wildcats will face off against the La Serna Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Whitney is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Bishop Amat out 40-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since November 30, 2023.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, La Serna beat Foothill 34-30 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

Whitney is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points over those games. As for La Serna, their win bumped their record up to 19-10.

Whitney came up short against La Serna in their previous meeting back in April of 2021, falling 44-35. Can Whitney avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
