Basketball Recap: Notre Dame (SO) Comes Up Short

Notre Dame (SO) lost against Louisville on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The matchup between the Notre Dame (SO) Knights and the Louisville Royals didn't end well, with the Notre Dame (SO) Knights falling 60-42. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Notre Dame (SO) saw an underclassman step up: freshman Hamiley Arenas posted 19 points along with six boards and four steals. Arenas' evening made it 11 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Emily Abramovitch was another key player, putting up eight points.

Notre Dame (SO)'s defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Louisville, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Notre Dame (SO) wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-23 victory against San Fernando on the 25th. As for Louisville, they will head out on the road to take on Marlborough at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
