Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sophia Morrison and Sophia Schmader Lead Brockway to Victory

Brockway hadn't done well against DuBois recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Brockway Rovers walked away with a 39-29 victory over the DuBois Beavers. For the Rovers, this counts as revenge for the 43-28 win the Beavers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Leading Brockway to victory were Sophia Schmader and Sophia Morrison. Schmader dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards, while Morrison posted 15 points and six assists. Schmader is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.

The victory got Brockway back to even at 1-1. As for DuBois, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Oswayo Valley the next time they take the court. DuBois will head out to face Oswayo Valley on Saturday, while Brockway will play them later in the day, at 6:30 a.m.
