Softball Recap: Excelsior Springs Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Excelsior Springs's offense. They came up short against the Kearney Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 7-0. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Excelsior Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josie Casler, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Excelsior Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Kearney, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Excelsior Springs will host Raytown South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kearney, they will venture away from home to challenge Winnetonka at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
