After having lost a blowout in their previous game against University Prep, Academy for Academic Excellence was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Excelsior Charter Eagles a 3-0 shutout. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by three goals or more this season.

They hit Excelsior Charter with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Layla Craven, Adamaris Arrizn, and Julia Rios.

Academy for Academic Excellence moved to 8-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Excelsior Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Academy for Academic Excellence will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeview Leadership Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Academy for Academic Excellence will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last. As for Excelsior Charter, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
