Soccer Recap: Douglas County Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Douglas County kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Trinity Christian Lions who were credited with the victory. The Trinity Christian Lions got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Douglas County Tigers' four. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

The win got Trinity Christian back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Douglas County will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on South Cobb at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity Christian, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Trinity Christian duke it out with the Villa Rica at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
