Recap: Granada Hills Charter Highlanders vs. Calabasas Coyotes

The Granada Hills Charter Highlanders waltzed into Friday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Calabasas by a score of 48-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Granada Hills Charter also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.

Granada Hills Charter got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Perez out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Perez is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Natalie Melendez, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.

Granada Hills Charter is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Calabasas, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-8 record last season and are now at 1-7.

Granada Hills Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday. As for Calabasas, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Crescenta Valley at 6:30 p.m. Crescenta Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 342 points over their last five matches.
