Football Recap: Blue Ridge Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Blue Ridge lost against Eastside back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fighting Tigers were dealt a 56-21 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The loss put an end to the Fighting Tigers' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the defeat, Blue Ridge had strong showings from Gavin Forrester, who threw for 176 yards and a pair of TDs, and Tyson Hicks, who picked up 53 receiving yards and one score.

Kelyn Durham went supernova For Eastside., rushing for 266 yards and one touchdown while picking up 14.0 yards per carry. Durham didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass. Another player making a difference was Peyton Schrader, who rushed for 175 yards on only 13 carries.

Blue Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Eastside, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Blue Ridge will head out to challenge Pickens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Fighting Tigers will be up against the Blue Flame's rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.75 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Eastside, they will face off against Spartanburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
