Soccer Game Preview: Carlsbad vs. Hobbs

Carlsbad hasn't had much luck against Hobbs recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cavemen/Cavegirls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Carlsbad has given up an average of 4.3 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Carlsbad fell victim to Roswell and their airtight defense on Saturday. They lost 7-0 to the Coyotes.

Meanwhile, Hobbs kept a clean sheet against Clovis on Saturday. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hobbs.

Carlsbad's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Hobbs, their win bumped their record up to 10-4-1.

Carlsbad suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Hobbs when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Cavemen/Cavegirls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
