Basketball Recap: Bangor Find Success

Bangor won the last time they faced Moravian Academy, and Avery Nelson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bangor Slaters blew past the Moravian Academy Lions 42-18 on Friday thanks in part to Nelson, who posted 18 points and five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bangor's points.

Another player making a difference was Hannah Hartzell, who had no points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Bangor's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Moravian Academy, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

Bangor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-40 defeat against Stroudsburg on the 1st. Moravian Academy has also already played their next game (against Notre Dame), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
