With a playoff win on the line, Southwest SD rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 56-25 win over the High Tech Mesa Thunder. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Southwest SD to victory were Pilar Carrera and Jazlyn Martinez. Carrera posted 22 points, while Martinez scored 16 points. The dominant performance gave Carrera a new career-high in points.

Southwest SD's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.0 points over those games. As for High Tech Mesa, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Southwest SD will face off against Del Lago Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Del Lago Academy's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Southwest SD's offense will have their work cut out for them. High Tech Mesa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
