New Smyrna Beach had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Mainland Buccaneers onto the board and left with an 8-0 win on Friday. The Barracudas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Mainland from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Skya Horth led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

The victory (which was New Smyrna Beach's fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-3-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five matchups. As for Mainland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
