Basketball Recap: Teyanna Onyegegbu's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Milpitas over Los Altos

Milpitas lost against Los Altos back in January of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Milpitas Trojans took a 54-36 bruising from the Los Altos Eagles. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Milpitas lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Teyanna Onyegegbu, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Onyegegbu a new career-high in assists (two). Rachel Hoang was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Milpitas' defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Los Altos, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12.

Milpitas will head out to face off against Homestead at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Milpitas is facing Homestead at the right time seeing as Homestead is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Los Altos, they will square off against Los Gatos at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
