Indio is 8-2 against Yucca Valley since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Indio Rajahs will face off against the Yucca Valley Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Indio will be strutting in after a victory while Yucca Valley will be coming in after a defeat.

Indio's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Twentynine Palms 11-0. The result was nothing new for the Rajahs, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Yucca Valley fell victim to Coachella Valley and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Mighty Arabs. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 817th, while the Mighty Arabs are ranked 279th).

Indio is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those five games. As for Yucca Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8-1 record this season.

Indio took their win against Yucca Valley in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 4-0. Will Indio repeat their success, or does Yucca Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
