Basketball Recap: La Costa Canyon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pacific Ridge last Tuesday, La Costa Canyon came back down to earth. The La Costa Canyon Mavericks fell 33-21 to the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders on Friday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-24 on December 6th.

La Costa Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for St. Joseph Academy, their record now sits at 10-4.

La Costa Canyon won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Campolindo at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Joseph Academy, they and Liberty will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Liberty will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something St. Joseph Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
