The Rio Linda Knights will challenge the Destiny Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rio Linda will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Rio Linda blew past Woodland, posting a 58-23 victory. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Rio Linda got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mariah Walton out in front who went 7 for 12 on her way to 15 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Walton a new career-high in blocks (two). LaRay Mitchell was another key player, going 5 of 11 to rack up 14 points.

Destiny Christian Academy played against Sutter and lost via forfeit.

Rio Linda's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.1 points over those games. As for Destiny Christian Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-13.

Everything came up roses for Rio Linda against Destiny Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 71-32 win. In that contest, Rio Linda amassed a halftime lead of 37-13, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
