Softball Recap: Shawnee Find Success

Shawnee took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Putnam City North, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolves won by a run and slipped past the Panthers 5-4. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Shawnee's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Putnam City North, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Shawnee will square off against Durant at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Putnam City North, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Deer Creek at 6:30 p.m. on September 4.
