Football Game Preview: Loch Raven Raiders vs. Chesapeake Bay Hawks + How To Watch

The Loch Raven Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Chesapeake Bay Hawks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Loch Raven's defense has only allowed 12.5 points per game this season, so Chesapeake's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Loch Raven was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 18-12 to Sparrows Point. The Raiders gained 144 more yards on the day, but it was the Pointers that made the best use of them.

Loch Raven's loss came about despite a quality game from Cai Perry, who threw for 208 yards and one TD, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

Meanwhile, Chesapeake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 34-14 to Towson. The Bay Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Loch Raven will have to keep a close watch on Dakari Noble and Terrell Jones, a pair of players who had a big impact on Chesapeake's prior game. Noble threw for 184 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes, while Jones picked up 60 receiving yards and one score.

Even if they lost, Chesapeake's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up 0.5 apiece ( Bryson Sachs, Michael Cook, Israel Bile, and Devon Gray also recorded half a sack). Another thorn in Towson's side was Bile, who picked up 0.5 sacks and made 11 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Chesapeake's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Loch Raven, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Loch Raven didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Chesapeake when the teams last played back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
