Recap: Thomas A. Edison Owls vs. Paul Robeson Huskies
The Thomas A. Edison Owls were the 46-24 winner over the Paul Robeson Huskies when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Thomas A. Edison took a 41-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paul Robeson on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Thomas A. Edison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Paul Robeson is ranked 129th).
Ashley Robinson was a one-man wrecking crew for Paul Robeson as she scored 35 points along with nine steals and six rebounds. The contest was Robinson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dior Tolloiver, who scored three points.
Thomas A. Edison's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Paul Robeson, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Thomas A. Edison will be home for the holidays to greet West Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. West Philadelphia's defense has only allowed 25.5 points per game this season, so Thomas A. Edison's offense will have their work cut out for Thomas A. Edison. As for Paul Robeson, they will head out on the road to face off against Roxborough at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Roxborough will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
