Union Grove won the last time they faced Locust Grove and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 13-1 win. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.
Alisha Cattuzzo looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Lauren Jordan was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jada Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.
Union Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Locust Grove only posted an OBP of .294.
