Basketball Recap: Monessen Takes a Loss

Monessen lost to Bishop Canevin back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 45-42.

Monessen has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Bishop Canevin, they pushed their record up to 6-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Monessen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-42 defeat against Seton LaSalle on the 15th. As for Bishop Canevin, they will welcome Serra Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
