Softball Recap: North Cobb Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sonoraville, North Cobb Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ringgold Tigers, sneaking past 4-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Faith Sonnenberg made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Sonnenberg was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Payton Tamborra, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ellie Mitchell, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

North Cobb Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Ringgold, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
