Basketball Recap: Bella Pistoia's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bloomsburg over Mount Carmel

While it was all tied up 18-18 at halftime, Bloomsburg was not quite Mount Carmel's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell 52-42 to the Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the RED TORNADOES 10-3 in the first quarter.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bella Pistoia, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Pistoia has posted since back in December of 2024. Delaney Zentner was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Bloomsburg's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Mount Carmel, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.
