Baseball Game Preview: Lakeside Eagles vs. King's Knights

The Lakeside Eagles will take on the King's Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Lakeside 4.1, King's 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Lakeside fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Colville on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 24th.

Lakeside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colby Compau, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between King's and Overlake, and Overlake kept the tradition alive. The Knights fell 5-2 to the Owls on Saturday.

Lakeside's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7. As for King's, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.
