Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Chris Green and Sameer Sabur Lead Browne to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Camelback, Browne was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 14-8 win over the Central Bobcats. For the Bruins, this counts as revenge for the 7-3 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Sameer Sabur and Chris Green. Sabur rushed for 143 yards while Green rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns. Those 63 rushing yards gave Green a new career-high.

Browne was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 256 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Browne's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Central, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
