Basketball Recap: Dunsmuir Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Cynneca Pistorius and Devon Holland

Dunsmuir lost against Mt. Shasta back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Dunsmuir Tigers fell 27-15 to the Mt. Shasta Bears. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Despite the defeat, Dunsmuir had strong showings from Devon Holland, who posted five points, and Cynneca Pistorius, who put up five points.

Dunsmuir's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mt. Shasta, they moved to 1-4 with that victory, which also ended their 23-game losing streak.

Dunsmuir will venture away from home to square off against Hayfork at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunsmuir is facing Hayfork at the right time seeing as Hayfork is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Mt. Shasta, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-10 defeat against Weed on the 14th.
