Cary Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was McCoy Williams, who posted 25 points and six assists. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Julian Tweedy was another key player, shooting 40% from the field en route to 17 points and eight assists.

Cary Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Asheville Christian Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
