Softball Recap: Washington County's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Putnam County on Thursday, Washington County came back down to earth. The Golden Hawks fell just short of the Screven County Gamecocks by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The loss put an end to the Golden Hawks' undefeated start to the season.

Washington County dropped their record down to 2-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Screven County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Washington County will be taking part in a tournament against Johnson County at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Screven County, they have already played their next game, a 6-5 loss against Evans on the 8th.
