Softball Recap: Bishop Neumann Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bishop Neumann had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Aquinas Monarchs as they made off with a 10-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 10-1 win back in August.

Addison Sylliaasen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isabelle Stuhr, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Fujan, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Bishop Neumann always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bishop Neumann's record is now 21-8. As for Aquinas, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-14 record.

As of now, neither Bishop Neumann nor the Monarchs have any future games scheduled.
