While Independence's win against Marion wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Wolves on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since June 28th.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 14-26. As for Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-26-1.

Independence has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Bondurant-Farrar on the 12th. Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
