Soccer Game Preview: Bret Harte vs. Calaveras

The Bret Harte Bullfrogs will face off against the Calaveras Red Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bret Harte's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Back in December of 2024, Bret Harte didn't have quite enough to beat Stone Ridge Christian and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Bullfrogs have lost by just one goal.

While Calaveras' fans didn't get a definitive result last Thursday, they were treated to the team's highest-scoring tie of the season. Neither they nor Rio Linda could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Kendra McGee and Kassidy Palmberg scored both of Calaveras' goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

With that draw, Calaveras' record moves to 4-3-4. As for Bret Harte, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
