Basketball Recap: Turlock Comes Up Short

Turlock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Gregori Jaguars and fell 59-14. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-27 two weeks ago.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Cadence Campbell and Nadia Myotte, who each put up four points. Campbell also led the team in rebounds with five.

Veronica Whitten had a dynamite game for Gregori, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. Whitten has been hot, having also posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alanah Lopez, who posted 13 points and five assists.

Turlock's loss dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Gregori, they pushed their record up to 15-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Turlock has already played their next match, a 57-42 defeat against Enochs on the 4th. As for Gregori, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 38-34 win against Downey on the 4th.
