The Tigers have beaten the Redbirds the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Redbirds has come to flipping the script.
Aubrey Doyle made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Doyle was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Leinna Smith was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Claire Gauch was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
