Baseball Recap: Howard Huskies vs. Mary Persons Bulldogs

Howard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 26-8 to the Mary Persons Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 13-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

JAYDEN REESE made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Darius Brown, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Howard's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Mary Persons, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-14 record this season.

The Huskies are facing the Razorbacks at the right time seeing as the Razorbacks are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Mary Persons, they will venture away from home to square off against Upson-Lee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
