Soccer Game Preview: Alexander vs. Wellston

The Alexander Spartans will take on the Wellston Golden Rockets in a tournament on Thursday. Alexander is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Alexander's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marietta on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Wellston lost 10-1 to West Union on Monday. Wellston have struggled against West Union recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Wellston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Alexander, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1.

Alexander took their win against Wellston in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 7-2 score. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Golden Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
