Football Recap: Collins Drops Season-High Score on Perry Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Collins). They came out on top against the Perry Central Bulldogs by a score of 42-34 on Friday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 14-0 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2020.

Despite the loss, Perry Central still got an impressive performance from Cephus Pruitt Jr, who rushed for 95 yards and one score, and also picked up 39 receiving yards.

With the win, Collins broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. As for Perry Central, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Collins is set to challenge their familiar foe Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Perry Central will face off against rival East Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
