Soccer Game Preview: Bentley vs. Head-Royce

The Bentley Phoenix will challenge the Head-Royce Jayhawks at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bentley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season.

If Head-Royce heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Bentley took over last week. Bentley walked away with a 3-1 win over Making Waves Academy on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Phoenix.

Asha Adansi and Taylor Robinson scored all three of Bentley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, Head-Royce put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand St. Joseph Notre Dame a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Jayhawks, who have now won seven matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Head-Royce pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Bentley, they are also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season.

Bentley beat Head-Royce by a goal in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 3-2. Does Bentley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Head-Royce turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
