Pope posted their closest win since October 2, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the River Ridge Knights. For the Greyhounds, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Pope's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-6. As for River Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pope will square off against rival Riverwood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, River Ridge is set to challenge their familiar foe Creekview at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
