Recap: Hughson Huskies vs. Enochs Eagles
The Hughson Huskies entered their tilt with the Enochs Eagles with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Hughson simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Enochs 75-36 on the road. Given Hughson's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Enochs is ranked 371st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Madi Duron was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 26 points, 13 rebounds, and 17 steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kareena Kang, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
Natalie Quinones and Maya Ramsay certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Quinones scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks, while Ramsay scored 8 points along with 7 steals. The match was Quinones' third in a row with at least ten points.
Hughson's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Enochs, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hughson will take on Atwater at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Enochs, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m.
