Basketball Recap: Mississinewa Comes Up Short

If Mississinewa was riding high fresh off their 52-18 takedown of Madison-Grant last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mississinewa Indians came up short against the Huntington North Vikings on Saturday, falling 59-33. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Vikings are ranked 109th).

Despite the loss, Mississinewa still got an impressive performance from Jaci Crick, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 18 points. With that strong performance, Crick is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.

Mississinewa has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Huntington North, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Mississinewa will be taking part in a tournament against Madison-Grant at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Huntington North, they will host Fort Wayne Northrop on Saturday.
