Baseball Recap: Griffith Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Griffith barely beat Calumet Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers never let the Patriots get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three games in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jonathan Nevarez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. He has become a key player for Griffith: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-10 otherwise. Angelo Gallo was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
