Softball Recap: Pelham's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home + How To Watch

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Pelham finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 8-2 to the Baconton Charter Blazers. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blazers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Pelham saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mylaisha Almond, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Almond is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Pelham's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5. As for Baconton Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Pelham will face off against Dougherty at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Baconton Charter, they will challenge Southland Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
