Basketball Recap: Tri-Valley Comes Up Short

Tri-Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans and fell 72-19. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Ava Snyder and Faith Artz certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Snyder posted eight points, while Artz earned 11 points.

Tri-Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Upper Dauphin Area, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Tri-Valley and Upper Dauphin Area could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Tri-Valley (ranked 487th) will meet Greenwood (ranked 115th) at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Upper Dauphin Area will challenge Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025 down 177 places (191 vs. 14).
