Soccer Game Preview: Diamond Ranch vs. Chaffey

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Diamond Ranch duke it out with the Chaffey at 5:00 p.m. on Friday... Chaffey took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Diamond Ranch, who comes in off a win.

Chaffey better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Diamond Ranch really get things going. Diamond Ranch's defense stepped up to hand Ontario a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Chaffey managed to keep up with Chino until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Chaffey came up short against Chino, falling 4-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Cowboys recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Chaffey's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Diamond Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8-1.

Everything went Diamond Ranch's way against Chaffey when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Diamond Ranch made off with an 8-0 win. Does Diamond Ranch have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chaffey turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
