Sinton has gone 9-1 against Ingleside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pirates will welcome the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Sinton's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
Sinton is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Cuero on Friday. The Pirates and the Gobblers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Pirates suffered a 56-55 defeat. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on October 3rd (32), the Pirates still had to take the loss.

Sinton might have lost, but man, Mykha Green was a machine: he rushed for 269 yards and six TDs while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. Green is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 215 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Quincy Bess, who threw for 141 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes.
Even if they lost, Sinton's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. In that department, Jaycee Castro was the leader with two. Jonathan Rivas was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Ingleside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 62-21 loss at the hands of Rockport-Fulton. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
Sinton will have to keep a close watch on Julius Sierra and Damian Gallegos, a pair of players who had a big impact on Ingleside's prior game. Sierra picked up 107 receiving yards and one score, while Gallegos rushed for 50 yards and one TD. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Jayden Techur, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Ingleside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Sinton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Sinton has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 336 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Ingleside, though, as they've been averaging only 83.2 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Sinton against Ingleside when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-21 victory. In that matchup, the Pirates amassed a halftime lead of 29-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
